ShakenNotStirred Holy Spirit: The Counselor 0 Feb 5 2011, 2:47 PM EST by ShakenNotStirred

I had this posted on my page a couple of days ago and thought to share with all of you. Enjoy! :) It's been a little minute since I been on here... needed to really focus in on God and He as always focused in on me. I was meditating on John 14-17 NLT and needed guidance from God on what to do, how to proceed and where to go. It was great translation! I was reading John 14:16-17 NLT which states "And I will ask the Father, and He will give you another Counselor, who will never leave you. He is the Holy Spirit, who leads into all truth. The world at large cannot receive Him, because it isn't looking for Him and doesn't recognize Him. But you do, because He lives with you now and later will be in you." I have come to realize that my lack of guidance came from the fact that I don't seek like I should... there are decisions I have made in my past and recently that do not add or contribute or produce fruit in my life... however if I seek the Counselor He gives guidance in any and all areas... human counselors give guidance on what they know and have studied but the Holy Spirit apart of the Trinity is the Ultimate Counselor! We seek human counselor's because we do not yield or seek after the Ultimate Counselor. Don't get me wrong I believe God most definitely can speak and use counselors here on earth but those spiritual things we need guidance on can only come from the Holy Spirit whether through a human being, God's Word or hearing His voice... WOW thank you God for that revelation! So my question is how about you? Who are you seeking? and here is another thing I just picked up... Jesus said I will ASK the Father to send you a Counselor... WOW what if God said no... but He loves us soo much He knew we could not do without! God is awesome! :D

ShakenNotStirred How often do you intercede for your sorors? 1 Oct 8 2009, 9:29 PM EDT by vashti83

be trying times (smile) "But they that wait upon the Lord SHALL renew their strength" so sorors I say that to say this lets reap the harvest God has given us which is one another! I love you all so much and I want to apologize for not taking the time to intercede on your behalf. For me not interceding almost carries a body language of non-importance... and you are all important to me and I love you!

God Bless you as you diligently seek Him!

Sincerely,

ShakenNotStirred How often do you intercede for your sorors!? 0 Oct 3 2009, 5:56 PM EDT by ShakenNotStirred

One thing that I love about Gamma Chi Epsilon Christian Sorority Incorporated is that we have women from various backgrounds, cultures, and lifestyles. Some of us are married and some are singled and all of us in our various capacities have a task to do. Whether it's in a leadership position with Gamma Chi or in your everyday lifestyle your job, family, church family and school we all assume to meet the obligations and demands of our daily schedules.

How much time are we spending interceding for one another and Gamma Chi ministry... yes I know that we pray for one another but praying and interceding are two different things. Prayer is a reverent petition made to God or another object or act of worship. To intercede means to plead on another's behalf. Pleading is a cause of action, so with that said are we pleading for one another in our everyday journey? Gamma Chi is a strong, powerful ministry but the true esscence of her being is fullfilled in God through each and every one of us. We must stay strong and fight the enemy on our knees. Nyna "Sole Secret" inspired me... I know that she wouldn't want me to put her on the spot but she has... I didn't know it but this past week Nyna was interceding on my behalf... to go through the week an not even know that my soror was interceding for me brought conviction and a challenge to my heart. I pray for Gamma Chi and every member of Gamma Chi, but I can't say that I intercede, that is a deeper focus, commitment and sacrifice that would require time set asside for me and the Father to meet and say I'm going to dedicate this time to intercede not for myself but for someone else and in this case my sorors.

We have people out there who need to here the gospel and women who needs to know that there's a better way to living then what the media and society displays. However we must continue to stay strengthened ourselves knowing that in this ministry there will..
